Taylor Swift is set to throw her weight behind Kamala Harris for the 2024 election.

The singer, who made an emotional statement at the start of her London leg of the Eras tour, has been thrust into the heart of the political conversation after AI-generated images of her appearing to endorse Donald Trump surfaced.

Now, while other artists are sending cease and desist orders to Trump over his attempt to use their music at rallies, Swift is weighing her own thoughts on the campaign.

And while backing a Democratic candidate wouldn’t be anything new for the singer, who supported Joe Biden in 2020, new reports indicate she is truly ecstatic over the ability to back a female candidate this time around.

Sources told The U.S. Sun that she intends to make her announcement four to six weeks before the election, and she was “very happy” when Harris succeeded Biden as the Democratic nominee.

“Taylor got enthusiastic when Kamala Harris got named VP in 2020, to see a woman getting at such a high political position and being the vice president of Joe Biden, it was massive, and she was happy about it,” a source told the publication.

“She was happy to endorse the Biden-Harris duo four years ago,” they added. “Now that Harris is running for president, Taylor is even more excited about the possibility of having Kamala Harris being the next president of the United States of America.”

The source went on to say that the singer knows her fame could help potentially influence millions of voters, and she thoroughly intends to endorse the Harris-Walz ticket because it would also support her values.

“Taylor sees Kamala as a strong woman, someone who unites people, who is going to do her best to solve issues that the people have, and who does great running the country,” they said.

As such, she is fully set to endorse Harris, but will wait until closer to the election to do so.

If she does make it four to six weeks prior, the announcement could come as soon as September 24.

The latest polls show Harris continuing to pull just ahead of Trump on a national scale at 49 percent to 46 percent.

She has also closed the gap or pulled ahead in swing states like Wisconsin and Michigan, and is deadlocked with him in states like Pennsylvania and Arizona.
