New weather maps suggest 70mph gales are to batter parts of the UK this coming week.

A forecast by WX Charts show particularly strong gusts of wind are to hit Scotland, with the northwestern part of the nation to be particularly battered.
This comes as the Met Office issued yellow alerts for rain and wind.
