Good Morning Britain has come under fire once again with more Ofcom complaints from upset viewers following Susanna Reid fiery row with Nigel Farage.
Good Morning Britain was handed hundreds of complaints from furious fans following Susanna Reid’s heated debate with Nigel Farage.
The broadcasting watchdog has confirmed they received 700 complaints in relation to an episode of the ITV breakfast show which aired on October 2.
During that show, Susanna Reid came under fire after she welcomed the Reform leader onto the show to discuss his thoughts about the Conservatives and immigration, while claiming that he was the man behind “getting Brexit done.”
Throughout the show, the broadcaster continually interrupted the politician as she told the Clacton MP it was a Conservative government that triggered the Brexit referendum and ultimately saw Brexit happen.
Susanna Reid found herself in a fiery row in the MP
She fumed: “It was a Conservative government that got Brexit done, so you’re very critical of the government that actually did what you have been campaigning for your entire life.”
Mr Farage simply chuckled before replying: “None of those things would have happened without me. None of them.”
Later on in the fiery interview, Reid and her co-host Ed Balls challenged the MP for being “irresponsible and dangerous” after suggesting police were withholding the truth about the Southport attacks.
While the politician shared his views, Susanna continued to talk over him as she reminded him not to risk being in contempt of court.
Fans fumed over Susanna Reid’s “annoying” habit online
Throughout the interview, the newsreader shook her head and oulled faces while she continued to fire questions at him during their heated debate.
At the time, fans flooded to X – formerly known as Twitter – to share their annoyance at Susanna Reid‘s “annoying” habit.
One user penned: “Regardless of viewers’ opinions of Nigel Farage, that had to be the least professional TV interview I have ever seen!
“Susanna Reid made it all about her in such a personal manner. Her job is to ask questions and comment on the answers given not dominate the whole thing!”
Another fumed: “Why is the Labour mouthpiece Balls allowed on here? As for Susanna, she … won’t let anyone speak who she disagrees with.”
A third wrote: “I beg Susanna Reid learns how to debate and take turns, as much as one might dislike Nigel Farage the constant interrupting and snarky comments doesn’t help your case.”
Someone else added: “Why bother getting Nigel on when all you’re going to do is talk all over him? Give the man a chance to speak. Clear they hate him. Susanna is doing my head in here.”
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays from 6am on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
