Kent Police investigating men ‘posing as police officers’ in quiet UK commuter town! B

Kent Police is investigating a number of incidents in the Sevenoaks area – and have released photos of men they would like to speak to in connection with them.

Police are investigating claims that two men are wandering the streets of Kent pretending to be police officers.

Detectives have released pictures of men they would like to speak following separate alleged incidents in the leafy commuter town of Sevenoaks.

The force is investigating events in the Kippington Road area, which are being linked to attempts to steal vehicles and burglary offences.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “It is reported that at around 9pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, two unknown men approached a property in the road.

“Wearing tracksuits and black gloves, they were also wearing vests which had a similar appearance to clothing sometimes worn by police officers. They left the scene shortly after.

“The incident is being linked to a previous report of suspicious behaviour in the same road, on Friday, August 23.”

It continued: “At just after 1.30am, two suspects wearing balaclavas attempted to steal a car but left empty handed.

“Several images have now been issued by investigating officers, who would like to identify and speak to those pictured.”
