Jeremy Clarkson isn’t letting Prime Minister Keir Starmer anywhere near his pub.

The Amazon Prime star, who has been heading up Clarkson’s Farm for the past few years, has officially opened his pub, The Farmer’s Dog, today (August 23).

But one person has been strictly left off the invite list, the Top Gear host told Times Radio.

Speaking to Cathy Newman ahead of his pub opening, Clarkson was asked if the new Labour government understands the rural economy.

Clarkson responded that they’re a “hopeless bunch”, prompting Cathy to ask him if PM Keir Starmer would be getting an invite to his new pub anytime soon.

Jeremy said: “No, he’s banned. Actually he’s the first person to be banned. He’s actually on a board in the hall, he’s banned.”

Cathy questioned what Jeremy was holding against him, prompting Clarkson to reply: “Er, hello? I thought you were running a news operation. He hasn’t done much to endear himself to me yet. We’ll have a look at farming (though). It might turn around, you never know.”

While Keir has been kicked out of the pub before even trying to step inside, there are two people who won’t be given a strict ban by Jeremy.

He was quizzed on his pals James May and Richard Hammond, after reuniting with them for The Grand Tour.

He told the host: “James probably won’t [come to the pub] but Richard will. I talked to Richard only yesterday. We’re mates and we’ll still see them.”

While Clarkson is working his way around his list of banned punters, locals have fumed at him for changing the name of the pub to something “offensive”.

One unhappy local told The Express: “When it was called the Windmill, you’d be blown away! Now it reminds you of the time Jeremy discovered a lady’s knickers in the car park. It sounds a bit sordid to me.”

It comes weeks after he made the “disgusting” discovery that his new pub is on a dogging site – but clearly he wanted to make light of the situation.
