Joe Rogan tears into Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama for hypocrisy_l

Podcaster Joe Rogan tore into Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama‘s DNC speeches as he branded them hypocrites.

The comedian, 57, particularly raged against the Democrats for their speeches focusing on poverty and income inequality, despite their huge personal net worths.

‘(Oprah) is up there talking about income inequality like, ‘Hey lady, you’re rich as f***’… how is that equal?’ he said on his show, The Joe Rogan Experience, on Thursday.

Rogan’s criticism of the DNC comes days after he slammed liberal network MSNBC for allegedly editing sections of his podcast together to make it falsely appear that he was endorsing Kamala Harris.

At the DNC in Chicago this month, both Oprah and Michelle Obama spoke of their humble roots as they took aim at Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

Oprah said protecting democracy ‘requires standing up to life’s bullies’ and said she had personally suffered from ‘racism and sexism and income inequality and division.’

In response, the Trump campaign shared a letter Oprah once sent to the Republican in 2000 – when he was a pop culture figure and not a politician – telling him to run for president, where she said: ‘Too bad we’re not running for office… what a team!’

Michelle Obama took a similar line to Oprah in her speech about ‘the meaning of hard work and humility and decency.’

‘She and my father didn’t aspire to be wealthy. In fact, they were suspicious of folks who took more than they needed,’ Obama said in her speech.

‘They understood that it wasn’t enough for their kids to thrive if everyone else around us was drowning.’

But both speeches were panned by Rogan, pointing out that the leaders failed to mention their own personal fortunes while lecturing on inequality.

Rogan said: '(Oprah) is up there talking about income inequality like, 'Hey lady, you're rich as f***'... how is that equal?'

‘How about Oprah?’ Rogan said. ‘Oprah was talking about her and Trump running together, and now she’s speaking to the DNC that he’s a threat to democracy.

He continued: ‘And also when Michelle Obama was saying, you know, I think she was saying her mother or grandmother was always suspicious of people who took more than they needed.

‘Like, you are worth so much money. That’s so crazy. You did it on a civil servant’s salary which is insane.’

Rogan’s criticism of the duo’s DNC speeches was echoed by many on the right, with conservative radio host Dana Loesch also pointing to Oprah’s $3 billion net worth following her DNC speech.

‘Kinda weird for Oprah, with her Hawaiian estate and multiple homes, expensive wardrobes, frequent luxury vacations, etc., to talk about income inequality,’ Loesch wrote.
