Jet2 plane heading to UK forced into emergency landing mid-flight_L
In a dramatic mid-air incident, a Jet2 flight was diverted to Spain.

A Jet2 plane was forced into an emergency landing after a man on a holiday flight from Tenerife to Nottingham died.
The horror incident happened on Friday afternoon and forced the aircraft to divert to the Spanish mainland.
The nationality of the passenger has not been revealed but he was reported to be in his 70s.
Island newspaper Diario de Avisos reported this morning that the holiday jet was on its way from the Canary island to Nottingham when an emergency was declared.
The crew reported that a man on board had fallen seriously ill with “significant medical problems” and needed urgent attention.
“A flight covering the Tenerife South-Nottingham route has been diverted on Friday afternoon to Santiago-Rosalía de Castro Airport due to the indisposition of a passenger, who has finally died,” the newspaper reported.
“The flight crew reported that they had a passenger with significant medical problems on board and need to be urgently diverted to the Compostela airport (on the Spanish mainland).”
“An ambulance from the Galician Health Emergency Service-061 was sent to the terminal in the Galician capital, whose medical staff confirmed the death of a man in his 70s.”
