JD Vance ‘pretends’ he can’t hear abortion question as he falls apart in live interview_l
JD Vance ‘bombed’ while trying to defend Donald Trump’s abortion views – with viewers describing it as ‘one of the worst interviews a politician has even given’
JD Vance struggled with his hearing on CNN
JD Vance has capitulated live on CNN in his worst interview yet – and has been accused of ‘pretending’ to have hearing issues.
Donald Trump’s running mate has endured multiple humiliating gaffes this week, was slammed for saying teachers that don’t have biological kids ‘disorient and disturb’ him and was mercilessly booed by a firefighters union.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse for the Ohio senator, he ‘bombed’ during a live interview with CNN’s John Berman on Friday morning.
For his first question, Vance was pressed on Trump not saying how he’ll vote on the Florida abortion ban, but mysteriously his sound cut out when pushed by Berman.
After saying Trump will tell people how he’s voting “eventually” but “wasn’t making an announcement last night,” Berman asked: “So it was a grammar thing?”
Vance then sat still for a few seconds in awkward silence, before asking the CNN host to repeat the question while touching his ear piece.
Pushing on, Berman asked: “It was a grammar thing, it was a speech thing? There was some confusion about the words he chose?”
Once again, Vance sat in silence for even longer then bizarrely looked off into the distance before mumbling: “It’s super staticky.”
Clearly not convinced, Berman appeared to mock Vance by claiming he “may not be hearing the loud baritone of my voice here.”
Vance was slammed on social media – with many claiming it was an absolute disasterclass in interviewing.
JD Vance claimed he couldn’t hear CNN’s John Berman
One viewer tweeted: “JD Vance just absolutely BOMBED in his CNN live interview. That was one of the worst interviews I have ever seen. Vance even acted like he couldn’t hear John Berman when pressed on Trump’s fake abortion support. What a wonderful disaster.”
“I am not being hyperbolic when I say that JD Vance’s appearance on CNN this morning is one of the worst interviews of a politician I have ever watched,” added another.
A third agreed: “He heard it lol. Is is the guy they say he’s not afraid of tough questions?”
Vancea also claimed Trump has been consistent in his abortion position in the “post-Roe world.”
He said: “[Trump] wants the national government, that he intends to lead, to be focused on national issues like inflation, the cost of housing and the wide open southern border.
“He wants states to make their own abortion policy, and that would be his position for the remainder of the campaign and the remainder of his presidency.”
