The 1978 Chevrolet Corvette Indy Pace Car is a special edition created to celebrate the Corvette’s 25th anniversary and its role as the pace car for the Indianapolis 500. Only 6,502 units were produced, one for each Chevrolet dealership at the time, making it a highly collectible model.

Under the hood, it offered two V8 engine options:
- L48 (5.7L) producing 185 horsepower.
- L82 (5.7L) upgraded to deliver 220 horsepower for enhanced performance.
