Angela Rayner raved in Ibiza as the Government faced widespread fury over its smoking ban and warned of tough times to come for pensioners and taxpayers.
The Labour Deputy Prime Minister was spotted on the Spanish holiday island dancing in front of thousands of people.
The video was unearthed just days after Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer painted a gloomy image of Britain, warning that he will ask Britons to endure more pain to fix the country.
But Ms Rayner danced beside renowned DJ FISHER who blasted out a dance remix of Gotye’s hit song Somebody That I Used to Know.

As the nightclub lit up with flashing lights, the Deputy Prime Minister was seen jumping up and down with the music.
FISHER, whose real name is Paul Fisher, put his headphones round the neck of the Labour minister as he laughed and hugged her.
Skills Minister Jacqui Smith on Friday confirmed the Government’s proposed outdoor smoking ban would mean “fewer places where you actually can smoke” as she claimed the habit was the “biggest nail in the coffin of most people in this country”.
Aman Bhogal, Director of Strategy at Conservative Friends of India, said: “We face a US presidency in free fall, the Russian front, a borderless EU, the CCP threat, endless domestic issues. The PM is busy projecting his inner Stalin and the deputy PM is busy partying.
“Britain deserves better than this.”
Conservative leadership candidate Dame Priti Patel on Friday blasted Labour’s proposed smoking ban, insisting that “we need the police on the streets, not in beer gardens”.
Dame Priti said: “We’ve got a government that wants the police, the very people that should be policing our streets, to be policing beer gardens and things of that nature.
“In my view we need the police on the streets, not in beer gardens.”
She added: “This is exactly where we need to unpick this awful Labour Government.”
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage added: “There has been no consultation, no debate, and too little thought put into the decision to ban outdoor smoking.
“Apart from this proposal being a significant infringement on individual freedom of choice, the knock-on effect on the hospitality industry will be disastrous.
“A much higher proportion of pubgoers smoke compared to the general population. In an effort to retain their custom, most pubs have invested real money in building smoking shelters and providing outdoor spaces.
“As a pub regular, I visited the Westminster Arms last night, a place I’ve frequented for 30 years. I enjoyed my pint and a smoke on the pavement outside. If that becomes banned, I won’t bother to go there again.”
The footage of Ms Rayner emerged less than a week after the Prime Minister said in a speech on Tuesday that “things will get worse before they get better” as he claimed the last government had hidden the true state of the public finances.
He also said that October’s budget would be “painful” as he paved the way for tax rises.
Ms Rayner has hinted at her penchant for clubbing before, telling The Mirror she had danced from four in the afternoon until five in the morning while on holiday in Spain last year.
In an interview at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last August, Ms Rayner, 44, said she was “proud” of her 12-hour raves.
She said: “The girls I was raving with are half my age, and I was like ‘I’m a grandma’. I was proud of that. 4pm I started, and I got home at six o’clock in the morning when the sun was shining and I was like: ‘Yes, I can do it.’”
Her latest trip to Ibiza contrasts with Sir Keir’s holiday plans, after he cancelled a planned family break to Europe to take charge of the riots spreading across the UK.
Ms Smith added: “I think most people now, including in the hospitality industry, would say our pubs, our restaurants, are much better places because they are no longer filled with smoke.”
