Keir Starmer has been accused of being a bit rusty at the Despatch Box for calling RishI Sunak “prime minister” at least four times during their first Commons clash since their summer break.

Old habits die hard for Sir Keir Starmer, who referred to Rishi Sunak as “prime minister” at least four times in their first Commons clash since Parliament returned from summer recess.
The PM was mocked online for his rusty performance at the Despatch Box against his predecessor.
One user said: “Does the Prime Minister know he’s the Prime Minister?”
Another added: “Starmer calls Sunak the PM. He’s all over the place. Useless.”

In one instance while addressing Mr Sunak, Sir Keir said: “The prime minister knows the legal framework”.

Sir Keir replaced Mr Sunak as the country’s leader of July 4 when the Tories lost the General Election.
The Prime Minister will have a new MP opposing him at the Despatch Box from November 2 when Mr Sunak’s replacement is confirmed.
Robert Jenrick, Mel Stride, Tom Tugendhat, Dame Priti Patel, Kemi Badenoch and James Cleverly are currently in the race to replace him.
The winner will lead the Conservative Party and face Sir Keir at Prime Minister’s Questions each week.
