Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘desperate’ to heal royal rift amid new threat _ pn

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be keen to make amends with the royals, including King Charles and Prince William, and it’s reportedly due to a major upcoming event

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have renewed their efforts to reconcile with the royals amid concerns over their future, according to a royal expert.

The Sussexes are now all but estranged from his family but they are now said to be doubling down on their efforts to heal the rift with the royals ahead of the 2024 US elections. “It seems quite clear that they are desperate to start healing the rift,” an ex-employee told the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden , who suggested in the publication that the couple’s motive for doing so could be linked to Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump and his family.

Just this month, Eric Trump made a scathing comment about Harry and Meghan as he praised the oyal Family as a “sacred institution”. He told GB News: “What I can tell you is, my father had so much respect for the [late] Queen, as did I. My mum knew so many of them for years and had a great relationship with Diana.

“It’s a sacred institution. You can happily have those two [Meghan and Harry], we might not want them anymore, it feels like they’re on an island of their own. You can always have bad actors in everything. You can have spoiled apples in every orchard. The institution of the Royal Family is beautiful and is admired by many Americans. That should be protected.”

Earlier this year, former US president Donald Trump hinted that he could deport Prince Harry should he return to the White House after the election in November. The issue stems around whether or not Harry lied about taking drugs on his American visa application, with the Republican nominee stating that the Duke would not receive any special treatment because of his royal background.

Harry’s visa status has come under intense scrutiny. Last year, American conservative think tank, the Heritage Foundation, sued the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for access to his immigration records. They w ant to know whether Harry declared whether he has ever used recreational drugs on the form – following his admissions in his memoir, Spare, where he detailed extensive use of cocaine, marijuana and magic mushrooms.

Trump spoke on the issue during an interview with Nigel Farage on GB News. Asked if there would be any “special privileges” for Harry, he responded: “No. We’ll have to see if they know something about the drugs, and if he lied they’ll have to take appropriate action.” In the interview Trump also hit out at Harry and Meghan’s treatment of the late Queen. “I think they hurt her really bad,” he said: ” I think there was great disrespect to a person I got to know very well and like; the Queen. She was unbelievable, you know.

“I thought she was treated very disrespectfully by them. Although she wouldn’t show it because she was strong and smart, but I would imagine they broke her heart. The things that they were saying was so bad and so horrible and she was in her 90s and hearing this stuff. I think they broke her heart. I think they hurt her really bad.”
