The five ways Donald Trump and Keir Starmer will butt heads in new nightmare for Labour _ Hieuuk
EXCLUSIVE: Reform UK chairman Zia Yusuf has hit out at Labour, insisting that “Keir Starmer’s party supports everything that the US now rejects”.
Reform UK slams Labour for comments on Donald Trump
Chairman of Reform UK Zia Yusuf has branded Donald Trump’s win as “one of the greatest political comebacks in history”.
However, many senior Labour politicians have previously criticised the 47th president of the United States, despite sharing their congratulations this morning.
“Keir Starmer’s party supports everything that the US now rejects such as open borders, socialist economics, woke ideology, net zero fanaticism and DEI,” says Mr Yusuf, highlighting the five key areas where the two leaders will likely clash.
In a recent speech, Trump promised America will “seal up” its borders but let people enter legally, adding: “We want to have borders, we want to have security”.
The Republican also said he had plans to declare war on “woke” culture if he wins back the White House – a mission now completed. He claimed he would launch a government-backed “anti-woke” university.

Chairman of Reform UK Zia Yusuf says Labours comments are misguided and foolish
However, the contrast to the UK is stark, with Labour’s Sadiq Khan responding to his win today. “I know that many Londoners will be anxious about the outcome of the US Presidential election. Many will be fearful about what it will mean for democracy and for women’s rights.”
On social media site X, he added: “London is – and will always be – for everyone. We will always be pro-women, pro-diversity, pro-climate and pro-human rights.”
Reform’s Chairman labelled the mayor’s response as “shocking”.
“The comments made by senior members of the Labour Party are incredibly misguided and foolish,” says Yusuf.
Social media posts and remarks made by the Foreign Secretary have resurfaced today, with Mr Yusuf branding them as “shocking, mean spirited and undiplomatic”.
In 2017, David Lammy tweeted: “If Trump comes to the UK, I will be out protesting in the streets. He is a racist KKK and Nazi sympathiser.”
The comments were once again brought up in Parliament today by new Tory leader Kemi Badenoch during her first appearance challenging Keir Starmer at Prime Minister’s Questions.

Following this in 2019, the Foreign Secretary once again attacked the Republican online: “Deluded, dishonest, xenophobic, narcissistic, Donald Trump is no friend of Britain. He is not fit to hold public office.”
Despite this, Lammy has shared a contradictory statement this morning, in a desperate bid to repair the relationship with Mr Trump. He said: “The UK has no greater friend than the US, with the special relationship being cherished on both sides of the Atlantic for more than 80 years. We look forward to working with you and @JDVance in the years ahead,”
Donald Trump claimed victory in the US election this morning after being elected for a second term as the United States 47th president, defeating Kamala Harris decisively in a number of swing states, including Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Speaking to his overjoyed supporters in Florida, the 78-year-old expresses how “this will truly be the golden age of America”.
On his party’s leader, Nigel Farage, Mr Yusuf says that “Nigel deserves a huge amount of thanks for taking the time to forge a relationship with the Leader of the Free World” adding that he will “continue to be close friends with Donald Trump and their friendship will grow from strength to strength”.
