Labour should cut foreign aid not winter fuel payments for pensioners, says Lee Anderson! B

This leaves millions fearful of freezing this winter or choosing between heating and eating. Labour’s own research concluded winter fuel cuts could kill up to 4,000 elderly. Even this discovery hasn’t curbed their determination.

Keir Starmer entered office with a pledge to support pensioners. A promise that was almost immediately abandoned.

Labour are bending over backwards to appease the unions, while at the same time taking money out of thousands of pensioners’ pockets and creating a miserable winter for millions more.

Decisions like this, make one thing very clear, that Keir Starmer’s Government prioritises foreign aid and the funding net zero over our oldest and most vulnerable citizens.

The interests of British citizens must always take precedence over the funding of foreign governments.

Keir’s failures to properly budget for pensioners and commit outrageous sums to foreign aid, should not be at the expense of our oldest citizens.

Yet despite heavy criticism, Labour have doubled down on this shameful betrayal. While this has been voted on, it is not too late to be reversed.

Cutting foreign aid, which we are legally capable of doing, would save billions of pounds, money that could and should be used to protect our pensioners.

Only Reform UK will stand against Labour’s war on pensioners. All five Reform MPs directly opposed this disastrous plan and voted accordingly in Parliament.

Reform UK will always support policies that will always put the interest of the British above all else, including our pensioners.

Our economy has been wrecked by record-high taxes, open borders and wasteful government spending.

Once and for all, we will take back control of our borders, our money and our laws, securing Britain’s future as a free, proud and independent nation that puts our own people first.
