Horror as woman and children, 4 and 6, mauled by mob of out of control dogs in London_l

A woman and two young children have been mauled by four out-of-control dogs in London.

The attack took place in Mickleham Road in St Paul’s Cray, Orpington, southeast London, shortly after 9am on Saturday (October 5).

A 30-year-old women and children aged four and six were taken to hospital.

Police have said their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A woman has been arrested following the incident and is now in police custody.

All four of the dogs involved, the breeds of which are unknown, were captured and have been taken into police kennels.

Superintendent Mitch Carr of the Metropolitan Police said: “I know this incident will have caused a lot of public concern, especially due to the young age of the children injured.

“Fortunately, it is believed that none of the injuries are life-threatening.

“A woman has been arrested on suspicion of having dogs dangerously out of control and she has been taken into custody.

“The dogs have also been taken to police kennels while the investigation is ongoing.

“Extra officers will be in the area over the next few days to provide community reassurance.”
