The pair are rarely in the same room as O’Brien is known to despise the Reform UK leader’s politics.
James O’Brien took to the airwaves with an astonishing anti Nigel Farage rant.
LBC host James O’Brien has launched a blistering attack on Nigel Farage.
O’Brien is known for his anti-Farage sentiments that are often spouted on his radio show. This morning the Reform UK leader was in the studio for an interview with fellow LBC presenter Nick Ferrari talking about recent political events – from the snatching of the Winter Fuel Payment from millions of UK pensioners through to his inability to hold MP surgeries due to security concerns.
But following the chat with Farage – and as he was opening his show – O’Brien snatched the opportunity to blast him in an almost minute-long rant.
LBC has tweeted an audio of the diatribe on the social media platform X along with the post: “It’s rare that James O’Brien and Nigel Farage are in the same room. So when the Reform UK leader was leaving the LBC studios after his phone-in with Nick Ferrari, @mrjamesob delivered a one-of-a-kind handover.”
In the tirade O’Brien said: “There’s a lot to get through today. For example, have you ever had violent race riots named after you? Or indeed been accused by the head of the Met of emboldening the racist thugs responsible?
“Has your vile and ignorant rhetoric ever helped instigate attempts to burn people alive in their beds? Have you ever cited a self-described misogynist facing rape and people trafficking charges in Romania as a trustworthy news source for events in the UK?”
He asked whether listeners had ever “helped a convicted woman beater get elected to the UK parliament?” or if “any newly elected MPs spent more time in America getting binned off by Donald Trump
He added: “And what would you call someone who answers ‘yes’ to all those questions?”
The raving address to listeners has certainly divided opinions, with many calling O’Brien out for it.
One said: “What a bitter and twisted social failure O’Brien is.”
“Farage took the p*** out of O’Brien and it’s fair to say James didn’t take it well,” said another.
On the other hand, O’Brien fans loved it.
One said it was “brilliant from James” and another added that “only Farage proud boys” would have a problem with it.
